Introducing Katy, founder of Katy Djokic Wedding Hair and Makeup.
Katy is the 2019 and 2020 Regional Winner of the prestigious @twia_official awards. She is also a founder of @thebridalstylistworkshops where she trains other Bridal Stylists. We are thrilled to have her as a Member of The Wedding Hair Company! We’ve gathered together some beautiful images of Katy’s creations, and share a little insight into how she works.
What to expect before your wedding:
Pre Wedding Trial
“I always recommend having a trial for your wedding hair and makeup to ensure that on your wedding day you know that your hair and makeup will be just as you wanted it.
Trials take place at my home studio in Eversley, Hampshire.
During the trial we can work together to create the perfect hairstyle and makeup to suit you, taking into consideration your style, dress & colour schemes.
We can also discuss and organise timings for the day and make up/hair for bridesmaids and mums as required.
It’s best to have a trial around 6- 8 weeks before your wedding but it's up to you if you would prefer one earlier.
I will show you some images which may help to inspire you and help you to decide on the makeup and hairstyle to suit you, but if you could also collect some pictures of hairstyles and makeup you like that would be great!
Trials usually take 3 -4 hours - until you are happy with your look and once this is achieved I will take photos and keep notes of products/colours used for the wedding day.” Katy
Your Wedding Day
“It is important that your wedding morning is relaxed and happy! I aim to provide a calm and friendly atmosphere and to ensure you are confident with your make up and hair on your special day.
I can also be on hand throughout the day to keep your make up looking fresh for photographs should you so wish.
If you have a lot of bridesmaids I can provide you with a time schedule in advance for the morning to ensure that all runs smoothly and I have some excellent assistants who can help if you have a large bridal party.” Katy
Where does Katy work?
“I can travel to most areas in West & Central London, Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire. If you are outside of these areas I can be flexible.” Katy
